Dissection of Rat

I had my Biology practical today, which was 'Dissection of Organ Systems'. Unfortunately our victim today was laboratory rat (as usual) and ready for us to be dissect. First part of the lab was a briefing about the legislation of animal's protection...mentioned about they're sacrificed for us for the purpose of education and research... blah blah blah... and everyone was so anxious to dissect the rat ^^
From my previous experience, that would be in Year 11 and Year 12, I had a dissection of a frog (which was alive) in secondary school. It was alive because we need to observe the function of the heart. Quite cruel actually, although it was chloroformed, we can still saw the pumping of heart... one of the frog even had eggs in it. Well, the main thing was... I almost faint out... My face was pale in colour... and scared almost everyone... However I wasn't really sure what's the reasons I faint out...
A few assumption was made:
  1. Haemophobia/hemophobia? (fear of blood)
  2. The effect of chloroform?
  3. The heavily stink smell of animals?
  4. Lack of food?
Well...I can't figured out... Even when i'm in college (year 12), there was a dissection of animal's kidneys... and again, my face and lips was pale... No idea what's going on...

And today, I somehow gotta fixed up what happened to me... Once the rat in my dissection tray, I kept telling myself not to faint,no worries, it's just an animal waited for me to 'explore' :P . OMG....It really stinks A LOT ! still nothing happen, and I was enjoying to cutting and poking it. Drawing of the internal organ systems were part of the lab report. In the end, IT WAS REALLY FUN !

Help Me~

All organs were spread out, smelly >.<

Relief?

Finally... Mid-semester test had finally over !
Am I a last minute people? I'm not sure, but it worked sometimes for me...
Studied for 3 days with 3 subjects (math, physics and biology), math was ok, biology was a bit tough, but i still not really satisfied with the result. but for physics I'm completely blank, tried so hard to concentrate but in the end, frustration and tired, I just close the book and ignore it... and today... although it's really hard for me... but I didn't feel bad and guilty :P
Am I crazy? I'm not sure again...
Relief? I don't think so...

iPod Nano

iPod Nano !! Recently this thing just hanging around in my mind, trying to seduce me to purchase it... I still thinking about it, about the price, colours, the storage of music....
iPod nano -

A thinner design. Five stylish colours. A brighter display. Up to 24 hours of battery life. Just about the only thing that hasn’t changed is the name. In 2GB, 4GB and 8GB models starting at $219 RRP inc GST, iPod nano puts up to 2,000 songs in your pocket.

Well... I was thinking to get 2GB (which is quite enough for approximately 500 songs), the basic price was AUD$219 (i think convert approximately RM613-RM630), and the colour is was silver colour (that's the only colour available for 2GB).

Should i buy it? !!!

Easter holiday !

Yeah, at last Easter holiday had finally arrived in the right time. I really need a break for my mentally healing due to the stress and torturing from the books... Gosh, first year in uni seems to be so tough... and i thought that it would be easy and relax >.<

Talk about Easter holiday.... This day seems to be a big important day for western peoples, especially Christians. There will be one week holidays for me, starting today (Good Friday) onwards until 14th April... and then.... mid-semester test...
Easter, the Sunday of the Resurrection, Pascha, or Resurrection Day, is the most important religious feast of the Christian liturgical year, observed at some point between late March and late April each year (early April to early May in Eastern Christianity). It celebrates the resurrection of Jesus, which his followers believe occurred on the third day after his death by crucifixion some time in the period AD 7 to 33 (see Good Friday).

I need a break

It's already week 6 in the University of Melbourne. Time passed so fast, which i didn't realised at all... I'm living in Melbourne for almost 3 months, GOSH, I'M STILL SURVIVED !!!

These few days i felt so tired...restless...exhausted... Workloads were adding non-stop, it's like never ending homework... Knowledge and information were stuffing into my brain, everyday new things was trying to analyse, process and stored in the memory brain. Sometimes I don't even know what's the lecturer talking about, and I become so blur and frustrated... It seems that I gotta study myself, or spend my every one hour lunch break in tutorials/learning centre to consult and ask questions about the lectures. Sometimes I didn't even had my lunch, fasting from 9am to 5pm... Getting so crazy nowadays...

I just need a break... and I'm looking forward to the Easter break (Oh no....reminds me that after the break I will have Mid term test... >.< )

Daylight saving over

This is the first time I experience this Daylight saving thing... It only happened in certain regions of the world, which included Australia. I'm not sure so sure about the purpose of the daylight saving stuff, but i knew some that the daylight saving system was used to increase/maximize the daytime activities especially during the summer. More information can be obtained here.

Australia's time zone during standard time

Australia's time zone during daylight saving time (summer time)
Further explanation about time? Well in summer of Australia, the difference time between Malaysia and Australia would be 3 hours (eg. MY-8pm , AUS-11pm). After the daylight saving over, the difference time zone would be only 2 hours (eg. MY-8pm, AUS-10pm).
Weird huh?

Tired...

Another day had passed... sunset indicated the end of a busy day, for me and everyone (although some peoples got their night activities - you know what I mean :P). It was an exhausted uni day, running around from one lectures to another, 3 straight hours in practical room and no time for lunch break... having a single piece of energy bar and 2 cups of coffee... Homework were piling from day to day, I was trying to finish it...but it kept adding... I didn't even have any club/socities activities because I don't have time to manage it... yeah, sometimes i'm lazy, but can't you imagine that everyday i gotta travelled an hour, back and forth to uni, from train to tram to bus every single trip? Coming back home and just wanna having a peace dinner and finish my homework as soon as possible... I just want to rest...

I'M REALLY EXHAUSTED !

Beach

It was a boring Saturday morning.... well...eventually had plans today, but due to laziness to go city for the festival,so just stayed at home and relax...

My aunt brought me some CDs which is the 'Heroes' for the whole season. I already watched 10 episodes in one day...kinda boring till crazy... My cousins decided to bring me out to the beach... before we go to the beach, we went to Knox City shopping complex to buy presents for my uncle which he's chinese birthday is today. Then we head straight to the beach that took about 45 mins trip.
The beach here was lot more better than Malaysia....REALLY MUCH BETTER ! The water was cystal clear, not much sediment/dirt in the sea water... The sand was fine and clean...It's just clean ! Sunny day today, a lot peoples around the beach...sun bathing (not my interest), swimming..

It's been long time I didn't update this blog...

I feel so exhausted, confused, frustrated sometimes... too much information stuff inside my brain, and I need time to digest !!! Uni life was so different from college/high school... Everything gotta D.I.Y... Competition among students to archeive high score... It's another stage of life, waiting for me to explore...experience...suffer...

Orientation week

The Orientation and Enrolment Week started on 15th February and last till 23th February. In this whole week, lots of information sessions, clubs and societies will be held.

In the 15th and 16th, the enrolment session for international students was held. For the first day was International Student Briefing, and it was kinda boring for the whole session. However it was quite informative which exposed us to the culture, lifestyles and study information of Australia.

In the second day of the enrolment, I've attend the Subject Information Session. We have discussion with the student advisor in university. They guided us for course subjects selection, which subjects to choose for the first year of course and also subjects that related to majors in future. Next thing would be online enrol for the course, simple and fast.

End of the enrolment... Yeah...way to be uni student !

Indoor rock climbing

Sorry for the late updates in Australia >.<

It's has been a while staying at home, I gotta find something to do. So my cousin persuaded me to indoor rock climbing...and I agreed to go just before that day. We took bus from StudPark to Nunawading. It was quite far distance between the two areas. As we reached, we paid about AUD$25.50 for student fare for the whole day (which can leave and went back in after lunch). It opened from 9am to 10pm. If you are a beginner, no need to worry because they will teach you how to climb, how to use the gadgets and stuffs... It's better to go with a partner. More details at http://www.hardrock.com.au/

I can guarantee you that the indoor rock climbing was so fun ^^ and challenging. Although I'm not that active in sports, but this was a great experience for me. Maybe because I didn't involved in sports for long time ago, after the rock climbing my arms were pain and muscle cramp...Aw..it last for 3 days...

I went out with my uncle to buy some groceries. We went to Stud Park for Coles (one of the supermarket in Melbourne). It was only 5 something in the evening, almost all shops and stalls were closed. =.="

I would miss Malaysia a lot, especially the night life.. mamak-ing... shopping and watching movies at night... >.<>
