Yum Cha

First time we had a gathering after exam, we went to city for 'yum cha'. This term was quite funny for Asians people because.... it's just so weird in western countries, where if they want to have 'dim sum' and teas in Chinese restaurant, they will say 'yum cha'.

We came to a restaurant called 'Sharkfin', in terms of mandarin would be ‘食为先’. It's really sound so different between the English and mandarin version. I heard my friend told me that we need to make reservation, because everyday there will be a lot people 'yum cha' in the restaurant. We sort of quite excited in there (no idea what's the reason, we just feel excited). We ordered a lot of varieties of dim sum (well, suppose all those dim sum was well known, like 'har gao', 'siew mai'......). The food was quite nice, well if compare to the Chinese food standard here (We wouldn't expect much excellent and tasty Chinese cuisine here).

My best lab partner

For this whole semester, and for the whole 3 lab session included biology, chemistry and physics. My favorite all time lab partner - Vivien Tam !!!

My lab session would always be hyper-active, perhaps it's after lunch time. It wouldn't be bored for the whole 3 hours. She always get lame jokes which always makes a temporary 'cold' moment, and continue with laugh. I think we were the only lab couple which always be active and talkative all the time... LOL... Well, it's fun even thou the lab session was tremendously boring.

Vivien, a pre-vet student, taking the same 3 science subjects as me. She's a party girl, and good in alcohol.... a lot more better than me. Thank to her, I drank alcohol occasionally and down to city for a drink in pubs and clubs. :P

Last paper

Last paper today, CHEMISTRY !!!

Feel a bit confident with this paper, as I had put a lot effort and interest on it (at least I studied chemistry last 2 weeks before). Chemistry is always my favorite subject, even dad asked me why I didn't took Chemistry as my major in science degree. I'm not pretty sure, I think I have to wait till my results release (on 7 Dec), then on that time I will decide.

I'm done with exams now, it's time to relax and have fun ^^

Hot day

It's 28 degree celcius outside, it's so hot and hot.... temperature was getting similar to Malaysia. Well, perhaps it's time to adapt myself and prepared my body environment when I go back to Malaysia. It's summer now in Melbourne (Australia), and daytime hour was much longer now, even sunset time is getting late till 8pm. One thing I dislike would be the flies, it's freaking annoying. Although the body was clean or just took a bath, but the flies just stick to you, and even you tried to get rid it by waving your hand around, it will stick back again >.<

It's Sunday, fine and sunny day, 2 more days to go till Chemistry exam. I seems so relaxed now, perhaps I did some revision before. Now I'm more concentrated in doing pass year papers. However, the heat was so terrible, I lost my concentration. Instead, I'm gonna online the whole day. :P

Physics was OVER !

Oh yea, Physics exam was finally over...

It's terrible and horrible hard and tough for this paper, not even have time to check again.... Once i got the question paper, I'm totally stunt by the first question... read through the paper, I'm sort of disappointed with it... what can I do now was continue dumping all sorts of formulas and hope for something similar came out >.< Luckily the quantum physics part wasn't as hard as the electromagnetic part.

After all the struggles and tortures for the whole year.... from now onward,

NO MORE PHYSICS ANYMORE !!!

Nerdy lame joke

A day before physics, I'm totally gave up already. What am I doing now?
Just relaxing....

A flash moment during my biology practical lab with my close lab partner, Vivien. Both of us go crazy and hyper every time in the lab. That's why I love biology lab time, it's so interesting and having fun all the time. I remembered on that day, we were study about classification of plants. We were given 7- 8 plants to identify the species name based on the flow chart of phylogeny. We took one of the plant, and she was already getting bored with the classification. I kept asking: Is it a mono/dicotyledon? How many petals? Is the ovary/carpel dorsal or ventral position? .....

Until I came to one of the criteria.
" Is the flower in radial or bilateral? "
" Well, we gotta ask the flower" she said.
" Huh? "
" You asked me whether it is a bi. or a straight flower right? How I supposed to know? you gotta asked the flower. " she said.

I was stunt for awhile.... trying to figure what was she trying to say.
And she popped up: " Nerd.... "
And I realized , " Lame joke !"

2 more papers to go

2 more days till the next paper, Physics.... Probably you all knew that I never like Physics, till I REALLY HATE IT !!! Last night already rest enough, now it's the time to study, maximised my absorption on all the physics, from electromagnetic till quantum physics.

I'm so desperate now, I'm desperate to hope that I have a mega-absorption brain, only absorb and never forgot anything.
I'm desperate that someone could tell me what's the content for the physics paper.
I'm desperate that if I could love physics now.
I'm desperate for getting a special consideration for not to attend physics paper on friday.
I'm desperate for a high concentration caffeine.
I'm desperate to ................. SLEEP...................

Another day of exam

Yesterday on Experimental Design & Data Analysis, 3 hours paper, starting from 9.30am to 12.30pm. This exam should be sort of easier among all my science papers, since it was related to mathematics (statistics). It's quite fun, really.... since it's just all about understanding and calculating (chuck in formula and get the results). Supposed to finish 2 hours, but due to lack of time management and tried to span my time till 3 hours (no wasting time...LOL).

Biology exam today, with genetics and zoology questions in the exam papers. In the first 15 mins reading time, flip through the whole papers... and something really shocks me... something that I didn't even bother to look and study about it... and I always told myself : This one would just briefly discuss about ..... and it turns out so horrible disaster to me. Like the question about A. Aferensis (Lucy), they asked about where it was discovered, time length, brain cavity.... and another thing which was my careless.... I didn't even look at my practical lab book, and one of the question came from one of the arthopod's diagram >.< swt~ Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

Oh well.... still got 2 more papers to go ! Gambatte !!!

Relaxing Sunday

What a relaxing Sunday today.... Nice rainy and cooling weather...
It's perfect to hide under the blanket, just lie down the bed and relax~

Tomorrow it's the first day of exam, Experimental Design & Data Analysis.

and I'm still so relax.... ~
